BW Dumpster Rental owns and operates our own fleet
BW Dumpster Rental West Chester owns and operates our own trucks and roll-off containers out of our yard at 13 Hagerty Blvd, West Chester, PA 19382, serving West Chester, Pennsylvania and the rest of Chester County. We do not connect customers with third-party haulers or independent providers. Every container you rent from us is delivered, serviced, collected and disposed of by our own team.
General information only
The content on bwdumpsterrentalwestchester.com — including our guides, blog articles, size charts, weight estimates and location pages — is published for general informational purposes to help you plan and describe your job accurately when you call. It reflects general industry practice around West Chester and Chester County, but it is not professional advice, and specific pricing, availability and container terms are confirmed directly with you by our team before delivery.
How local government actually works around West Chester
Chester County runs one genuine countywide government (an elected three-member Board of Commissioners) covering our entire service area. Pennsylvania's own local-government structure is genuinely distinctive, though: every one of the 10 communities we serve — West Goshen Township, East Goshen Township, Westtown Township, Willistown Township, West Bradford Township, East Bradford Township, Thornbury Township, Birmingham Township, Downingtown and Exton — sits inside either an incorporated Borough (a Borough Council/Mayor form of government, the same shape West Chester itself has) or a Township (its own elected Board of Supervisors, a full, real municipal government) — never merely "unincorporated" the way some other states allow. The one exception is Exton, a well-known place name with no borough or township of its own, governed directly by West Whiteland Township rather than by Chester County directly. West Chester itself is a Borough, not a city — "City of West Chester" is never used anywhere on this site. Neither shape is ever mislabeled here — see the location table on our service area page for each community's real government status and official site.
Regulations change
Permit requirements, right-of-way rules, disposal fees, recycling programs and weather-related road restrictions are set by each Borough, Township, county or state government, not by us, and they change without notice. Anything we say about them is our general understanding at the time of writing. Always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant authority before you rely on it:
- Borough of West Chester, PA — permits, right-of-way and Borough services for West Chester
- Chester County, PA Government — Chester County government, a genuine countywide governing authority
- PA Dept. of Environmental Protection - Solid Waste Programs — Pennsylvania solid waste and hazardous materials regulation
- PA DEP - Recycling & Waste Reduction — Pennsylvania recycling and diversion guidance
- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) — Pennsylvania road and right-of-way information
- Pennsylvania One Call System - Call 811 — call 811 before any digging
Each Township or Borough listed on our service area page handles its own right-of-way and placement permitting directly — see that page for the specific link per community. Any town listed there may set its own permit or right-of-way rule that differs from West Chester's own — when in doubt, call that community's own office directly rather than assuming our own Borough's rule applies elsewhere.
Estimates are estimates
Container dimensions, capacities, weight allowances, project sizing guidance and any prices or price ranges shown on this site are approximate, general to the industry, and provided to help you describe your job when you call. Actual debris weights vary enormously with moisture, material and age — storm-soaked roofing debris and waterlogged material in particular. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding quotation. A rate is only binding once it is confirmed directly with you by our team.
Permit and placement responsibility
Unless we specifically agree in writing to secure a permit on your behalf, responsibility for any required placement permit — and for confirming whether one is needed for your address — rests with you, the customer. On private property, no permit is generally required anywhere we deliver; placement on a public street is where a permit most often applies, and which office to contact depends on the specific Borough or Township involved — see the list above.
Southeastern Pennsylvania weather
Chester County sees real seasonal weather — genuine summer thunderstorm season, an occasional nor'easter, and remnant tropical/hurricane rainfall from a storm that has tracked up the coast — and that is a genuine, current factor in scheduling here. We will delay or reschedule a delivery, service or pickup ahead of unsafe road or storm conditions where we judge it necessary, and we are not liable for delay caused by severe weather or its aftermath (see our Terms & Conditions, force majeure).
Not engineering or safety advice
Guidance on driveway loading, demolition, roof work, mold, asbestos and hazardous materials is general in nature. Structural, environmental and safety questions should be referred to a qualified professional — a structural engineer, a licensed abatement contractor, or your local building department as appropriate. See OSHA for workplace safety requirements.
